This morning on my way to work I pulled up beside a newer Acura at a stop light. It had one of those retarded rice burner mufflers on it that sound like crap. So I step on the gas to let this kid know what real power sounds like, and when the light turned green we both gunned it and took off. Now I definatly had him off the line with more pedal to give. He must have been in my blind spot b/c when i looked in the side mirror i didnt see him so i let up a little and he blew by me. By this time i was doing 70 in a 35 so i let him go. I just started modding my 07 and so far i only have the exhast changed out. But even a stock hemi should take an acura right? i'm pretty sure i didnt have the pedal to floor.

 

I'm pretty sure you drive a truck.

You're going to get beat, a lot.

 

yea your going to get beat allot....i mean ive wasted ALLOT of cars but there are more cars than not that will be faster than your truck...specially once you get up in speed or do a rolling start from say like 50ish mph you will loose. My old 99 oldsmobile intrigue would waste my ram from 70mph up and would stick with it pretty much the entire way there.

 

a newer acura, especially the larger flagship sedan, will destroy you. hell, even a toyota camry comes with 270 hp now, and 2000lbs less than you. the TL(?) comes with 340 or something, maybe more, and still 2000lbs less than you.

 

Yeap, I was just about to throw out there the weight issues.

 

Well we don't know what type of Acura....

My dads 07 TSX will beat my truck though. Of course, it has around 260 hp.


Was it 2 or 4 door?

i dont think it was an 09... maybe 07. it was a 2 door, small, difinatly 4 banger.

 

Better off trying your luck with other trucks. A skinny kid is gunna beat my fat *** on the race track no matter how much stronger I am.
