I'm wondering because I have a line on some used tow mirrors, but one doesn't move. I was wondering if I could use my sport mirror guts to make a goos set of tow mirrors.

havent pulled the regular mirrors apart, so i dont know what they look like but i have a whole thread on CF where the guys were pulling apart their tow mirrors to add light, which is what im doing, so i know how and can tell you how to pull apart the the tow mirror but know nothing about the regular mirrors and dont know what the comonents look like of that, but if it was me i would just buy the heated/power mirrors to begin with, i jugt got a set for $299 shipped. and not knock of ones, genuine mopar.

LMC truck sells the two mirrors.
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/de/full.aspx?Page=62
It also says that if the truck didn't have the tow package, then the mirrors wouldn't fit. This is for the 03-08 trucks. They look identical to me. Has anyone put the OEM towing mirrors on a truck that came without them?
