New Here...Exhaust Question
I'm new here. Not sure where to post this so I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot...
I have a 2004 Dodge. 5.7 Hemi. And I'm looking at dual exhaust. I was thinking about cat back with 4" tips. What kit would give a good sound without being too crazy expensive? My parents asked what I wanted for my birthday next month. I said exhaust for my truck. They think I'm an odd 23 year old girl for asking for that but oh well
I want it loud and deep. Not ricey sounding. Mufflers or no mufflers? I've heard mixed opinions on this.
Help please!

I've been checking out youtube and was leaning towards flowmaster...just would like other dodge people's opinions. My ex (ford guy...maybe why he's an ex lol) he has flowmaster on his F150. He said leave the mufflers on because the dodges would be even louder than ford. Some other guy friends say no mufflers...?

I'm looking mostly for sound and looks right now. Since it's my parents footing the bill as my birthday gift...also depends on how generous they want to be. I'm going to worry about performance later. I have a male and female english bulldog. She should be coming into season soon. After she has the pups and I sell them I'll have at least $4000 to put into my truck. (CAI...chip, etc)
My dad has catback, no mufflers, Y pipe into twin exhaust on his dodge. Sounds pretty good. Would you go with a true dual setup? I'm just looking for opinions like I said. I just have to find a kit. Got a guy who will put it on for me.

Well the cost of most cat-back kits from what I have seen is as much as going to an exhaust shop and getting everything custom. The shop I went to said he would do a true dual for $400. I got the stock y-pipe cut out and had him run the the 2 pipes off the cats into a dual in single out magnaflow for $280 out the door. I don't know how much your parents are giving you b/c that will really be the determining factor in what you can get, unless you have some cash to help get something better.
