I am just nervous to get them powder coated, if I don't like it, I'm screwed.

Ramhunter, what rims did you have?

I'd pass on them. I have yet to see a black/chrome wheel i have liked. They look like they're unfinished.

As for your 20s. i'm 95% sure you can't powder coat them because they're chrome clads. When i put my wheels on, i had to use a set of the bare wheel.

The chrome clads have a plastic cover that is basically fused to the bare aluminum wheel. You can't powder coat the cover.

well its like this im going through rim issues right now myself.... because mine were so marred up i have to sand the chrome and paint them... You can powder coat the covers cause I talked to my paint guy about it... he said it doesnt matter what the material is as long as its a chrome finish. You can also powder coat highly polished aluminum.... If you have any scratches or any deficiencies in ur rims it wont come out right.... You might be able to anodize them too but im not sure about that. Origionally I had thought about removing the covers off the actual rim but they are glued on and underneath is where all the stamping and whatnot is at it looks horrible... id say if u go no impurities in the chrome powder coat them if you do sand em and paint em.... either way id like to see em
