Default Appearance vs Performance

So now that I have gotten myself thinking more and more into it, which route do you guys (and gals) prefer to go first when modding? Personally I have always felt that if you are going to have sick looking vehicle that it should also have the ***** to back up the look which is why I have been mainly focused on the performance side of things recently instead of adding visual mods. I hate pulling up next to another vehicle that looks sick yet has the power of of a 4 banger, or is completely stock.

So what is your preference?

I just switch back and forth. I hate trucks that look like they came off a dealer lot.

I did all my performance first because some performance is also visual example my split dual exhaust And the sound of a roaring V8 usually turns heads more then a couple chrome pieces..
Now im starting to do things like lights and maybe de-badge

I tend to go back and forth between the two. I went with exhaust first so people could hear it, then lifted it so people could see it.

I started with apperance because that is what is noticed first then I upgrade for perfomance as the budget allows, Besides apperance is a little cheaper.

A LOT of both, but kinda in stages, and a good bit of my cosmetic were performance. Tires and wheels could be both, a lift is for sure...

I voted a little of both, but it all depends on your budget, in all reality, most visual mods are cheaper. I am broke, mom of 2 still recovering physically and financially from a car accident. I was restless and wanted to do something, so I broke down and spent 20-25 bucks to do some accentual mods to my balt. granted it isnt a lot to spend, but I got my materials to do the following-
- Krylon paint and clear coat to get my armrests repainted and I have enough to do my entire dash panels that are silver the same way,
- Black edge trim to do my doors (which are already done) and my trunk lid as well as have enough left over to do my truck when I get her.
- Stuff to debadge my trunk of my car.
- and even eye protection glasses Safety first LMAO

Like I said, it's not a lot, but some people have already said something about what I have done. But you dont want to get a lot of visuals without changing some things under the hood to keep up with it's image

and that is Cow-Chick's
