Default What upgrades are easily swapped from a Laramie to another ram?

I have a laramie thats going to sale and same year ram that is mildly optioned that i would like to take/swap as many accessories as possible. For starters Im swapping the 6 disk/nav unit. Very easy and straight forward procedure other than the antenna from which i have determined will be an adsolute PITA to remove so will just buy new.

How about the Infinity speaker system? Is it a speaker only upgrade or are there amps laying around that need to go also?

Dual climate controls would be nice also but other than the controls is there duct work that is different?

Am i missing anything thats easy to swap ?

The amp is buried behind the dash near the glovebox area and from what I hear, A PITA to remove. The wiring harness is also different. The speakers are better in the Infinity system, but the standard system has no speakers or wiring for them in the dash so it would be a big job to change it all over.
The NAV stereo should work with the speaker wiring in the other truck as well.

The ductwork is different for the dual climate control system. Extra blend door.

What year trucks are you working on???

Then, of course, there will be the poor bastard who buys the Laramie and gets surprised when it's missing half the things that are standard on a Laramie...

Might as well leave it with a vinyl floor and a work truck bumper.

Forgot to add years, the laramie is a 07 and the ram is an 06. Got the nav in the truck as it was a straight forward install, very easy and it looks great with the silver bezel trim.

Im trying to figure out what model unit it is so i can buy the right gps antenna and ipod interface...?

Okay, so more searching as shown me the model nav unit is a RDS. With that i have found an antenna easily for 20 bucks, ipod interface not coming so easily.

Does an interface even exist for the ipod/rds mix? Mopar doesnt have anything listed on their site and cant search here because rds is too short.

I could see swapping a few performance mods or what not to the newer truck but people buy the Laramie for all the added upgrades, you are really shooting your self in the foot by removing those options when it comes down to resale. May as well remove the "Laramie" badge as well since its not going to be one by the time you are done stripping it.

Why not keep the laramie and get rid of the other one??

Neither, the truck is going to repo or else i would feel bad for the next owner. The other truck we plan on keeping for the long haul so we are just trying to keep what we can.
