underdrive pulley question....

Default underdrive pulley question....

hey evry1 been gone for a while (family troubles) but im back now and found a SWEET deal for 2 underdrive pulleys, crank and alt. am i going to need a new belt for these or will the oem belt work?

That depends upon what engine is in your truck. If you have a 5.2 or 5.9 (318 or 360), then it looks like those could work. If you have a 4.7 or 5.7, then they will not. Nevermind, I see you're a 5.9 club member. You might want to ask around in the engine tech forums... They will be worth a few hp. If the larger one is for the crankshaft, make sure your stock one does not have a balancer built in, as that has been an issue on HEMIs...

You will gain a few HP up around 5000rpm. Not much of anything down low. You may have some nighttime charging issues at an idle with the pulleys.

Usually, you do not need a different belt.

well if the charging becomes a problem could i just get a bigger alt?
