so...in you all's honest opinion, what do you think will happen if we keep these kits on there and how long do you think it could take for something bad to happen?

I would think it would result in faster wear -

BUT here's my thought - this kit is ok for a 2008 2500, not a 2008 1500, if anything is swappable in regards to control arms, etc., i dont know why I couldnt just go that route. Our dodge dealership here is AWESOME and I'll be talking to a mechanic soon to see what an option is.

I have the 2" with Fabtech shocks. I have the bump only on the passenger side.
And it is only if I hit a pretty good size bump. It has actually gotten a lot less noticeable with more miles on it.

Default news from the dealer

Replacing the 1500 control arm, etc. doesn't really work out as the parts all filter down to replacing the wheels (number of lugs) - so it was recommended to see if Hunters Automotive would have anything.

At first it looked like spindles from a 1500 4x4 would do it but the cost is too high to even bother with it. I just went ahead and got the alignment done for $49.50 and will decide what to do down the road, it may not even be a problem for me since I'm a nerd by trade and our roads are decent.

EDIT most likely gonna do the 1.5" level, sell the 2.5" and lower the rear 1".

I have had my 2.5" spacer on for over a yr and no problem from the contact yet. I find myself watching out for large bumps. I and in the process of making some new upper control arms that will have enough space for the spring bucket. Let me know if anyone else has done this.
