where would the best place to look for a 35 gallon tank and the required straps ?

the distance to empty set by the computer so I imagine a trip to the dealer to have that option changed with their programmer is in order.

I wish there was aftermarket software for the dodge pcm. I have it for my motorcycle ( tuneboy ) and can do more than the dealers.

I got this tank from a guy parting out a 2500. I couldnt find any trucks in any J-yards close to me anywhere. The DTE is set by the PCM as you expect so getting it reprogrammed at the dealer is lokely needed but but is it worth it at the price they are going to charge?

I talked to two dealers here in town about this. They won't reset the pcm, they want to put in a new one and wont garuntee it will work. Real stupid and they charge alot to do that.

I called the dealer here and spoke with them and told them what I had done and asked about getting the truck reprogrammed for the option. She said IF is was possible it would be $99.81 and she is going to check with a tech to see if it is possible. Either way, Im not paying $100 just so my OHD will read DTE. As long as the fuel gauge reads correctly (which it does), then thats all I need.

Ill let you know what she tells me later today though.

For those who want to drain thier tank with out removing the pump, ground goes to Pin 1 and 12v goes to Pin 4

Right on thanks. Now that you've had it a few days, hows everything working? Does your fuel gauge read correctly?

Im down to about 1/2 a tank so Im still checking. It certainly reads full but Im watching the gas gauge while monitoring the odometer as well to check one against the other.

that would suck if the gauge didnt read right.

on the 1500 rams its about 5.5 gallons for a quater tank how much gallons would it be for yours. it must suck to put in a full tank

how much miles did u get before on a full tank to empty?
