SIRIUS Broke?
Ahoy y'all,
Setting the stage: SIRIUS no longer works on the OE radio in my 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4 SLT Quad Cab 5.7L HEMI. AM/FM and CD work fine. I have a lifetime subscription to SIRIUS.
Two weeks ago I took my truck to our local 5 star dealer (Rick Keffer Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep - Yulee, Florida), where she was purchased to have them fix it. I was told a new radio was installed and it does not work. Open work order and the customer service rep had to call Chrysler for instructions/guidance on what to do. As of today, I have not received a call from our service department. A NEW radio was NOT installed. I'll deal with this issue when I go back there.
Is there something I can do to get SIRUIS reception? Is there a thread I can read on this issue? Any suggestions/guidance?
I owe a post in the new member and photos area. I'll play catch up on my reading here as I can.
Admin/Mod's, hope this post is in the right section.
Thanks for your help.

man that sucks. it would be cheaper to get a aftermarket radio that has sat radio rather than a OE one. but if its under warrenty i see your point. good luck i have nothing to offer as i dont care for sat radio, just didnt want you to feel lef out..

Have you called Sirius to make sure your subscription wasn't interefered somehow? Happens to the cable box all the time, I'm sure it can happen to your satellite radio. Have you tried unhooking your battery overnight?
Those are a few things I would do on my own before I went to a dealer. You should already know that when you Think of the word Dealership, your going to be either dissapointed or aggrevated somehow and feel like you went out of your way and it was a total waste. I dunno, maybe my perspective is harsh against dealers, but I haven't felt anything otherwise when i go there. Nothing but frustration!
Good Luck and Welcome to DF.

Did you check to see if they disconnected the antenna or Sirius receiver? On the back of the radio, the smaller 10-pin connector is for the satellite radio. And the receiver, at least in my truck, was behind the glove box to the top left. It was a little box with a yellow wire connecting to it for the antenna.

Wow, youse guys are making me feel good, I thought I was the only one who was not fond of Dodge 5 star (my ****) service dealerships. Although, I am very pleased with the service department at a Dodge dealership in Kingsland (southeast), GA. Alas, I have not been able to create the time to drive there. In my past, they have always been worth the drive. FWIW: my Admiral has a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I take her Jeep there for service/repair, not under warranty.
Thinking Out Loud, I'm wondering if maybe, it is a computer software issue? Wait to see, I'll post results, hopefully before Christmas.

When Dodge and or my dealership sends me a follow up 'report' card and or email about the 'service', I have been writing my 'experiences' and using names. They have taught me well to get their name. Although this 'incident' is still an open repair order/request for service.
I saw a thread on this forum titled front wheel 'brake dust', I could write a book! I look forward to creating the time in my future and reading this thread.
I love my truck! It would be nice if service department personnel did. It is unfortunate that the service department personnel have such a bad case of excusitis, pass the buck, not my job and 'I dunno's', check with the Manager.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Note: I was told by the service department that my AM/FM right front fender mount antennae is tight.
