ac blower
hey yall, i need help. i've searched thru the forums and haven't found the answer i need. here's my problem, in short ac was working fine until 103 degree temps. first it only would blow on high. iswitched recircular air an it stopped blowing all 2gether. auto parts say its motor resistor.i've read about blend door i just want to start troubleshooting in the right place.
.you can hear it come on but no air at all. shall i dive into the dash an chk blend door or try resistor. PLEASE HELP ITS HOT!!!!
If its not blowing at all I agree you should check the ignition switch. My AC/blower would stop working all of a sudden for no reason and it took me a little while to make the connection to the ignition switch. I could adjust my steering column up and down and the blower would kick back on. That would work for a while then I had to push on the wire plug at the bottom left side of the column to get it to work. Finally took it in and had it replaced and haven't had a problem since.
If it ONLY works on the max air setting it is in fact your blower resistor. I replaced mine 2 weeks ago.
This is the easiest part in the world to switch out. It is under the passenger side (under the glove box) you will see a cord plugged into it, it is held in with just 2 screws.
The new part will run about $68. Install it yourself for the love of god. Easiest thing in the world. If you have a pull and pay or junkyard near by just go get one there. I pulled one out of a 04 Ram 1500 at my local place and it was $21 after tax with a 6 month warantee.

hey guys i got in the truck yesterday evening an the ac came back on. it stayed on until the next morning then nothing again. im thinking somethings got to be loose or the resistor may be going out. give me some feedback.
I agree with what has been said... if the blower motor does not work at all, then it is the wiring to the ignition. If the blower motor lost it's variable speed (only on or off), then it's the blower motor resistor module located behind the glove box. I've posted pictures of it here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/members...pt-albums.html
It's been said that you can simply replace the resistor located inside the motor resistor module itself, but I didn't do that.
