Default Larger fuel tank for gasoline engines?

Keep in mind I have a 26gal tank on a 2006 QuadCab Hemi w/6.5' bed
Ok, so I found several options for bigger fuel tanks for diesel engines but what about us guys with the 1500 gasoline engines? This issues leaves me with 1 question or another:
1. Is there a place where you can buy a larger replacement fuel tank for gasoline engines (not one that goes in the bed, don't want to lose any of my 6.5' bed)
OR
2. Is there a larger tank off of an older model truck that would fit as a replacement for my stock tank, maybe one that I'd have an easier time finding in a junk yard?

Now going from the 26gal up to a 35gal would be nice and I'd jump on that if I could find one relatively cheap but I'm also interested in larger options than that.

about once every 2 months I make a 540 mile trip and the cheapest gas on the route is right at my empty distance...it's only a matter of time before I gamble and lose and if I am pulling anything then I definitly can't make it to the cheap stuff. A 35gal tank would surely get me there even if I'm towing something and anything bigger than 45 gallons 'should' allow me to make the trip without stopping.

Finished my 26gal to 35gal fuel tank swap

Everything you want is in there including links on where to get a bigger tank. There are pic in the link for my gallery in my sig. From doing this myself I can tell you there is no more room than for a 35gal tank. Not for under the truck anyway. Now if you want to add on in your bed then the options are endless although dangerous if you ask me.

10-4 on that comment my Laramie came with it too; they really should have put them on ALL Rams as standard equipment.

Does anyone kow what year model trucks 35gal tank would be a direct fit for the 06? Maybe I can find an older truck being parted out or in a junk yard that I can yank the tank off of. I just want to make sure it's a direct replacement like weedahoe's was.

Well I looked at some part numbers on tanks and pumps once and they were all the same for the 3rd gen years. Well Let me specify, I researched years 03-06. Ive been meaning to get some measurements for you guys and will try to do so again today when I get home.

Yea I have the 34 too, love it. Except when gas was $4.00 a gallon, filling it up made you wanna cry! I like the fact that I can fill up for 2.23 a gallon here in LA and still be rollin when passing the 2.68 gas in AR

Why, it wasn't that bad, it only cost me around $150 for around 30 gallons.

But to be serious, it sucked. Although, gas was expensive when I bought my truck, and I'm still happy I have the 34 gal tank. And I didn't buy the truck for it's great gas mileage.
