Just picked up this 07 Ram 1500 SLT, Single Cab, 5.7 Hemi, 7430 miles, for 12k.



Whats the stock exhaust size?? 3 inches or 3.5?

Also what kind of oil do you guys use? 5w-30? 10w-30? Synthetic or Conventinal?

I use conventional oil in all my vehicles 'cept my turbo-charged Mazda. I think you'll find yours wants 5w-20 due to the MDS. I use Hi-Mileage 5w-30 in my '03 Ram, conventional 5w-20 in my 300C.

 

The stock exhaust is a tad under 3" but it's really close and has a resonator before and after the muffler...use 5-20 like Mike said unless you disable the MDS with a tuner. I use 10-30 pennz platinum in mine.

 

That is a pretty sweet deal there, 12k for a truck that is almost brand new. What do you have planned for it as far as future mods go.

The first owner was an older guy who only used it to haul his boat and for trips to the grocery store.

Do a lot of people disable the MSD?

I def want to get a muffler for it. So I would need to get one with an 3 inch in/outlet?

BTW the dog is a Weimaraner
