I like my truck, I like everything about it so far. However, I would have waited a month gotten it for about $4K to $5K less and gotten a tax credit for it at the same time. Other than that, Yeah I would have gotten the same thing, With the exception I would have attempted to get the dealership to throw in a scoop hood.

Cayman S or Grand Cherokee SRT-8. blacked out either way. but i needed a truck, so as far as trucks go i think i got a pretty good one. a hemi or CTD wouldve been nice though but im pretty happy with what i got going on right now

ditto. but the biggest change I would have made is not trade my old car in (98 camry). Having a truck as a DD hurts, it kills me how many miles i'm putting on the thing.

You just bought this truck, how come you didn't get what you wanted then?

I don't think bimmers are just for douchebags. They are nice comfortable cars. But if you got it and went and lined up next to every other car you saw, that makes you a douchbag.

Gotta agree with dog on the reliability issue. my brother in law has one and i've seen him driving loaners more than his own car.

In hindsight, I would like to have gotten a CTD. I was in a financial position at the time to do so, but couldn't really justify the need to spend an additional $17k to what the 1500 QCSB Hemi 4x4 was gonna cost me after rebates. Especially when the CTD only stickered for about $9k more. To me, that was a $8k rip-off!

At the very least, I wish I'da gotten a 2500 Hemi, coulda had an SLT one that stickered for almost the exact price as my Laramie 1500. Only reason I got the 1500 was there was a $4500 rebate on 1500s that 2500s didn't have.

I saw it as no big deal, my '98 1500 was a great truck, but one thing I didn't think about was that the 2nd Gens had a good old DANA front axle and the 3rd Gens have AAM CV axles...

Oh please 'Feej, let's not bring this back up. Six months of unending "should I buy this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one or this one" was quite enough...

I wish they made the 1500 with the CTD. (or do they) I love the ride of the 1500 and with the firestone air bags its like a 2500. Just wish I could get the torque, power and gas milage that my buddy gets with his 2000 F350 with the Powerstroke. He gets 23 miles per gallon on the highway. Then again its a Ford!
I love my truck, but I like the laramie front ends a lot better (I think its those and the Sports or something). I Not a huge fan of the chrome.
