Tire Opinions please
Well this is actually for the Jeep, but nobody would respond if I put this poll in that section, besides, tires are tires and the same tires good for a 4x4 SUV would be good for a 3rd Gen Ram. So here goes.
I recently added 2" coil spacers and longer shocks to my Grand Cherokee. Now I need tires. 90% pavement use, but that other 10% can range from dirt roads and trails camping to some fairly sloppy plowed field crossings. I want an A/T tire, but needs to be fairly good off-road. My existing BFG Long Trails ride nice, but suck off road and the ply rating has resulted in my having to put 4 plugs in them in the past year.
I can get a great deal from a buddy who owns a tire and auto repair shop, but my choices are fairly limited.

I definately would rock terra's or even the tompsons remember you
get what you pay for right. The terras have done my dad good and he
uses the truck the same way you would so yeah thats my .02 $

i like the at2's I know several people who have them, they are popular here in the mountains, they say they do well in dirt gravel and excellent in winter conditions. also they have good treadwear ratings, onu guy told me he had over 60k on them and they still looked good.
I've logged a little time with my Terra's now and I can't say a bad word about them,I have been in some pretty thick sticky mud and also logged quite a few highway miles, the terra's are very quiet on the highway and wet traction seems pretty good.
Grabbers for the sandy stuff... A few of my friends have them and swear they're the best thing since sliced bread.... They wear well too, I had a chance to ride in a Ram dually this weekend and there is no road noise or vibration... They are a hot item up here in CNY....
Either the Nitto's or the Grabbers. Both good, and a lot less than the Mickey's. Haven't heard anything about the others, so I can't vouch for or against them.

X2. I would wait for the new Nitto's coming out this month.
I rode Terras for a winter before going with Grapplers. Used them for one hunting season. They did exceptionally well on sloppy muddy roads. Did great on snow and ice too.
