Default Finally!!!!!!!!!

After what seemed like a never ending wait and non stop issues between the cheap used one, the lying dumb sh*ts at the trans shop, the douche lying to me about the delivery date, my new converter finally came today!!! So this weekend, either Saturday or Sunday it WILL be on...

Now this brings me to a question though, when we do the converter swap I want to do the trans service at the same time, what is a good preferably synthetic tans fluid to use in our trucks? And how much is needed? And is there anything else needed to do it? I want to be able to go out and pick everything else up so there is no waiting around.

First off, congrats on the converter finally getting delivered to you. I know you have been waiting for a while to get it. For the trans service you should get a new set of filters for the trans while you installing the converter. Rock auto has a good kit with both filters and a new gasket all in one package. For fluid, the store near me only had one brand of ATF+4 so that is what I used.

Is there anything that I can pick up at a local store instead of having to order it in. Just trying to avoid taking it anywhere for the trans service, its due in about 3k miles or so.

I actually found that the ATF - 4 was cheaper at the dealership than any other store that carried it. After picking my jaw up off the ground I just bought it from them.

Orielys has a good price on atf-4 just under 5.00 a qt, and they have filter kits, about 8 qts if you do it at the same time as the tq change I used 11 qts when flushing, but you wont have to flush convertor if you are changing it.
