Default bbk shorty headers

I have been looking for shorty headers to fit my 06 qcsb 2wd 5.7hemi ram for a couple years and i see that bbk 4009 are a match. Anybody out here tried these yet and notice any gains. my existing mods are 3" catback,k&n 77 cai.3815 flashpaq tow tune when hot and 91 tune when cooler weather. My truck has the factory 3.92 lsd and twenties

Actually Weed. I got mine today! Spankin' new and never opened except by me. The box had those large staples.
Anywho.....Don't know when i'll get time to put them on???? I still gotta spare some cash to get those Rancho's. Time is running out!!!

I found a graph of actual dyno gains for JBA shorties. Loss of torque and hp down low. Breaks even at 3100 and climbs up 15hp/tq until 5600where drops off like a rock as does factory. I was thinking that it was a little bit high for losses, but I was towing today and spent most of my time above 2700rpms, so those gains are a little rpm high, but not much higher than where they should be. And with the Hemi already having good low end power. I'm not worried at all. LT's will actually loose some power as well until a certain point before it gais as well. I don't think LT's will net you more power than shorties with stock heads to be honest. That's the only reason I got the shorties because I won't be doing headwork for a long while! 50-60kmi area...if i ever get there....lol

Sooo, if your doing heads or cam in the near future go with LT's. otherwise stick with shorties as they are a super easy swap and will net about the same power. If you get a new y-pipe, your gains should be even greater with shorties.

I got em and love em. They were pretty easy to install and I think the gains are worth it.

Getting the manifolds off was the biggest pain in the ***. The headers bolt right up.
