Default Cold air intake help!!!!

I bought one of those cheap air intakes off ebay for my 05 ram 1500 4.7 v8 and it doesnt seam to fit right.ive bought these before for my other trucks and they all worked great. This one is a short ram intake.its missing the rubber gromet thats supposed to hold the air sensor and it came with 2 metal mounting tabs but there is no place on the intake to mount them.does anyone have pics of an intake install or can anyone tell me how its supposed to go? There is also a metal piece the size of the intake tube but 2" wide with 2 metal clamps around it which i have no idea what its for. Please help!!!!

The rubber o-ring should be on your sensor still. But pics or a link to the kit you have would certainly help more.

you can get another lil grommet from oriellys i think, thats where i got mine. i didnt use the two metal brackets that came with it i used the stock air box to kinda shield it from water and mud from underneath. just the bottom part of the airbox. my intake is attached to that for stability

You can find the grommet you are lookin for at lowes. I had to get one today for my intake. I had the same ebay intake on my 3.7 dakota, and the sensor hole is right near the throttle body and i needed to plug the hole. The intake was too short to sit in the air box so i went to auto zone and bought a 3in diameter sensor adapter. it fits in the intake box like a glove now, and the IAT sensor wire had plenty of slack to plug into the sensor adapter. i put a small filter on the oil breather line, and capped off where it originally was suppose to go on the intake. While i was at lowes i bought some double-sided aluminum insulation and i wrapped the entire tube. Not sure if it will make much difference in the intake temps or not but we'll see. I'll try to get a pic when its daylight outside.
