Looking to remove my broken 1/2 to rear leafs and put in a new set or drop in the 3/4 or 1 ton set is this possible as a direct bolt up option would love to be able to carry a little more weight. Thanks

 

Axle wouldn't be rated for the same rate as the 3/4 or 1 tons though no? Might be able to carry a bit more but I'd still be carefull. Unless I am way out to lunch

 

I have airbags. Stock ride. Unless you want to ride like a 3/4ton I would suggest against adding additional springs.

 

yeah, you arent going to make a 1/2 ton into a 3/4 ton or 1 ton just by adding heavier springs...
and im guessing the heavier springs wont bolt right up... and it will ride like a lumber wagon.
put some 1/2 ton springs on and then add some airbags if you want to haul a little more, then you'll maintain stock ride

 

the 3/4 ton springs are wider, I believe. not a straight bolt on item. The $250 airbag setup with stock 1/2 ton springs sounds like the way to go for your setup.

 

How did you break the leafs?

 

theres more than just leafs that make the 3/4 tons different than the 1/2's. for starters you have axles, frame, suspension.... adding heavier rated leafs will just make your ride way too stiff
