Most of those fiberglass hoods have baffels and channels in them to redirect water to other places and not onto/into your intake. The one I want is the same way, all fiberglass which is nice for weight, and has baffels and channels for the water when/if it ever rains here.

I say get it and be done with it

checked out the ram air kit, there is no way i would spend $320 for that, i could fab up something close to that for maybe $20 minus filter.... what a rip...


also talked to the guy said he would be out of town for a week and he's gunna call me when he gets back to town. my buddy said he would paint it for $50

I have the same hood and it works good. I dont know how but after driving through several huge rainstorms my filter hasnt even become damp so thats a big reassurance. I havent had any rock chips or cracks yet but maybe thats because my truck is up pretty high and the fitment is pretty good I do not know how much work was necessary because I did not install it but it looks to be minimal. For that price
its a deal jump on it. And the intake for the ram air is just an air aid kit but if you modify the upper lid on the factory airbox (cut a bgig ****ing hole) then use weather striping of some sort to seal the airbox to the hood it should work like a damn.

bought the hood!!! $300. it was white and would have worked perfectly but someone wetsanded the clear coat off of it.. thinking about having it professionally painted and having the raised ram air part painted black....
