I'm hopeing you atleast checked out the fuses and relays before you started digging into the switches. I'm sure you did but with some of the people I've seen on here, you never know.

I just found out that there is a front control module. pulled it out it was dusty as hell blew out the connectors put it back together and it works fine now. Had two mechanics tell me it was the switches $200 bucks later it was a connection... and yes it took forever to get the bulb back in. Thanks for all the replies guy

Hi Corey, where is this front control module located, I just got my 02 ram 4x4 sport quadcab about 3 weeks ago, drivers low beam just went out tonight... also have you found instructions on the removal of the headlight to replace the bulb just in case it really is the bulb? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Hey man, the FCM is attached to the back of the fuse box. There is a bolt and one screw holding the fuse box in place. You need to remove the fuse box to get to the headlight bulb anyway. There are four bolts holding the FCM to the fuse box remove them and the FCM will come off. If I we're you I would start with the FCM before I touched the bulb, its a bitch to get back in! Take the neg side off you battery. Pull the FCM off if you have a air compressor blow out the connection on the FCM itself and the fuse box( Mine had a ton of dust) connect your FCM back on the fuse box and put the bolts back in but dont tighten all the way down. Put the neg side back on your battery. With mine I had to find the sweet spot if it was in to far the low beam wouldn't work. Find that spot than tighten the bolts to that spot. I work in the oldfields and my truck is offroad every day and since I have had no problems with it. I hope this helps, let me know how it works out for you

Default 02 ram low beam out

Hi Corey, Hey thanks for the reply! Well while waiting for some kind of reply from my post... I found that the headlight assembly comes out quite easy and it turned out to be just a burnt out low beam. Replaced them with PIAA M13 9007 bulbs (4000 kalvin) popped everything right back into place and all is solid and good. I will keep the information you provided ina tips and tricks file, just in case... PIAA bulbs aren't cheap but I have heard they are better resistance to vibration and humidty... Thanks again for the reply!

Just in my opinion, I always thought it was easier to just remove the entire headlight to replace bulbs. Just take the three bolts out using an extension from outside the headlight, pull it out, and do your business. Easy as cake.
