Default Help With dodge exhaust?

Hey, I have an 07 hemi and want dual exhaust but cant afford it. I was thinking of just replacing the muffler with a straight pipe straight cause it really cheap to do and was woundering how it would sound. Would it be real real loud with a striaght pipe on it or just semi loud. I have checked on youtube but all the videos have ram 05 and under. I have an 07. I dont want it reall real loud just a nice rumble but for only 60$ thats all. Cheap. Would a remove the resinator too or not. Thanks

A straight pipe is gonna be loud as hell, on the raspy side. If you're looking for a low rumble, youll need to save a little more and buy a muffler..

If you remove the resonators and the muffler, it will be real loud. If you leave the resonators on it might not be too bad.

yeah, straight pipe is pretty loud, and wayy to raspy for me. i did it on mine awile back, and got a pipe bent for like $20.

i didnt keep it on long...

i would assume an 07 hemi would sound roughly the same as my 03 with a straightpipe and no resonator... i cant imagine how horrible straightpipe would sound with MDS...

save a little money and get a cbextreme or magnaflow... i like those AND if you get an offset one it will probably go right in... and you wont need a shop to do anything

Ya, I think for now, I might put the straight pipe on but keep the resinator on. I just saw a video and it sounded ok but not to loud.

If you don't want it too loud then you 100% need to leave the resonators on when you put a pipe in the place of the muffler.

Ya Dude Trust me and everyone else,MDS+Straight pipe=$hitty sound you will hate it unless you are deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other one!

I got like $150 in my exhaust setup and I am so glad I didn't get impatient and straight pipe it. Here's mine(magnaflow SI/DO muffler + fabbed up the rest myself)....
