Default What should I ask for my wheels in trade.

Hey guys,
I thought by now I would have had my wheels replaced, But, work hours are shorter and money has been tight. Currently I have the 20" chrome wheels on my ram with the stock tires, Probably, 10K miles left on the tires. I really don't like the look of the 20" wheels. So I was thinking of throwing a trade offer on craigslist.

I was thinking of asking if anyone wanted to trade 17" Chrome wheels plus some money for my 20" Chromes. The question I got for you folks, How much money should I ask for? I was thinking $150, But wanted some opinions.

I sold my stock 20's outright for $350. I know a guy who spotted a Ram on a used car lot that had 17's on it and he went in and asked them if they wanted to trade him straight up for his 20's they did even though the tires on his 20's were almost shot and the 17's were like new, so he came out smelling like a rose. The dealer was happy to get the 20's as a selling point for the truck.

Actually I was thinking to trade someone else who has the chrome 17" Wheels. They get my chrome 20" w/ tires and they give me there chrome 17" and $150.

I know I could get a straight trade, But I am kinda picky since it will be 6 months to a year before I can get some new wheels, I definitly want some chromed ones or aftermarket wheels.

So you dont think $150 plus the trade is to much to ask?

I sold my old flower pedals with 35" tires for $750. I picked up my 07 20's for $400

i think a trade with cash ontop can scare people away, but i would never do a strait up trade for some oem 17s. it would be better if u got aftermarket rims for a strait trade. but only downside is that the other person might have worn out tires.

Your best bet is too keep a keen eye on Craigslist for wheels you want and buy them then sell your stockers straight out on CL for whatever you can get out of them,I sold mine for $350 with bald tires and 2 of the wheels had cracks in the chrome.
