Well, you have a 2wd, so you could always get 4.88's instead of the 4.11's, that would help.

Don't waste the money swapping gears if you are only going to jump from 3.92 to 4.10, not worth it. The difference will be barely noticeable, and the cost/gain ratio is pretty poor. If you have your heart set on gears, get 4.56s.

The powerstroke is the slower of the three motors. Chipped, and stock. I think he can still get you though. Run em, see what you get.

hold on meow. I don't think it's as much of a longshot as you guys are making it sound. 38s, lifted, that guy has a whole lot more inertia he's gotta get movin. and the 6.0 will probably take a dump half way through anyway. run it.

edit: just noticed you're lifted with 35's...

Diesels are quick but ford diesels are prob the slowest i would go for it....i had a chipped, exhaust, and intake duramax and she would pull 0-60 in right around 6 seconds and get to 100mph VERRRYYY quick.

I drove my buddies stock ford a few weeks ago and its o.k. I think my truck with the 4.7 would run pretty good with him. In your case, if you still have your stock wheels and tires laying around, swap them on and try it. They'll be a little easier to get moving faster. i think you might be able to get him.
