Rear bumper top plastic removal

Default Rear bumper top plastic removal

Im looking to remove this black plastic piece off the top of my rear bumper when im ready to paint it but im not 100% sure whats holding it on and if i can remove it without taking the bumper off.anybody know? Is it just clipped in or screwed in?

i would guess it just has some push pins... stick a screwdriver under it and see what happens

Its mostly clipped in except for 2 screws. You dont have to take the bumper off just the remove that plastic piece.

Behind the license plate. They are kind of tricky. I ended up breaking mine off, but it went back on with no problem because the license plate covers it.

So all i have to do is remove 2 scews behind the license plate,then pry it up with a screw driver?

You probably need to get under there and relieve the clips from their position. I just used pliers and pinched the clips a little bit. Then pried them plastic off. The game is try not to break the clips. But, its not that hard.
