Prolly a Stupid Question
When I got to the dealership they told me they read the computer and could tell that I had been hotroddin it and doin like 120. Which that part I know is crap it tops out at 106 lol. Can they really look at the computer though to see my driving history?
Last I knew it was only in the event of an impact, they could view something like 3 secs before...I think they are BSing ya, is it in the shop for motor related issues or something?
I had a thread about it. It had some serious issues. It now has a new rad, water pump, tranny fluid, oil, plugs, differential cleaned out and new fluid added, and new gaskets on the thermostat, timing cover, and water pump. I think they were bsing me too but it made me wonder.
The dealership will tell you everything they possibly can get you to belive to get them out of working on your rig. They voided my warrenty after i put my bumper on that i made. They said it weighed over 800 lbs and was screwing my entire front end .... i can lift it myself and im no muscle man by any means. Unbelivable!!

Nor can they void your warranty even if you were to drive at 120mph as per the original poster.
besides, they cannot even tell if you've had a handheld programmer hooked up prior to bringing it down there. They can only tell if the ECU has been written over.

You can never look at the speedometer to tell you how fast a vehicle will go. NEVER. Some odometers go up to 160mph and are in a basic 4cyl souped up with guages and will never go that fast. Then you have the vehicles that only go up to 120mph and can go much faster (mustangs are a good example)
Good luck getting your full size Ram up to 120mph safely! that is one scary ride that can end real quick. My front end started getting unstable past 90. at 120, it would be uncontrollably floating around and side to side.
However, the Law is what restricts you from going that fast, not the dealership, so if you have lots of land and run your truck all day at 120mph and blow the engine. They HAVE TO replace it under warranty.
To the guy with the front bumper problem....Dealerships haven't voided front suspension warranties for guys that add tow hooks(weigh 40lbs) and/or brush guards that can be quite heavy. I just recently lifted one off a navigator. It was stainless steel and OMG must have weighed 100lbs which is heavier than ANY bumper out there not to mention stock bumper is metal and most aftermarkets are all plastic/fiberglass composites.
