I think 88-95 works. Mine is actually off of a 89 Lincoln Continental which is the same thing. Gave about $15 dollars for it at Pull-A-Part with warranty I think. Needs to be off of a 3.8L car, not a 3.0L. Must be popular because my Pull-A-Part had had all of the 3.8L Taurus/Sable fans already gone and all of the 3.0L were still there. I guess they didn't know that the Continental was the same platform with the same fan.

How long would this mod take for a person with average DIY skills? I plan on getting the flex a lite fan to simplify electronics a tad

Yeah like TEACH said, a couple hours tops. Just don't have a brain fart like I did. I also have the Flex-a-lite and I had a brain fart about mounting the fan until a certain buddy of mine straitened me out about it,LOL.Just bolt the fan to the inside of the shroud and the rest is like connect the dots! Good luck!

Man, you're one lucky dude to have a buddy like that. Wish I had someone to call to walk me through stuff like that...

I have a Flex-a-lite Extreme 180. It's set to come on at the old "normal" (roughly 1/2 on the temp scale). With my 180 'stat, the new normal is slightly above 1/4. The fan's fairly loud, but only outside the cab. I hear it kick on if I'm outside the cab. I put a LED on the dash so I know when it's on.

Same here, I can hear it outside the cab but can't even tell it is on when I am in the cab.
