Default Finally got to 30k mile checkup.

Got access to a nice lift to do my 30K tune up. Amazing how quickly you can replace tranny /w filters, transfer, front and rear diff fluids and the oil with a nice lift and some help. Took me 2 hours. Got lucky, Everything in the rear diff looks like the day it was born. And I have been laying into that throttle.

Just one thing Im not sure on, For the front and rear diff do I need the friction additive or not? I used Mobile 1 75-140 for the rear and 75-90 for the front. The friggin RP was $22 a litre!

No additive in the front differential. Only in the rear if it has limited slip.

No reason not to do it it cant hurt to change the fluid early at all just keeps it going for that much longer

But you only have 30k I roled over a 100k the other day and am going to take it in for a tune up since the last one was at 88k and its about time

Earlier models need tranny fluid change at 30K. Only recently did they double the interval. Both filters at 60K, or is it still the spin-on every other time?
