Default Traction Control - turn it off

2008 Dodge Ram with a 4.7 V8 and 6 speed manual: It is factory programmed to eliminate all forms of engine braking as part of its traction control. This, obviously, makes it annoying to drive. How can I turn it off? Or better yet how can I switch between NORMAL engine/power train management and the factory TRACTION CONTROL which is needed only for slippery roads when it gets icy.

This would be a good feature for SuperChips, Diablo, HyperTech or someone to market.

PS: The 200ms delay in the throttle stepper motor is NOT the problem.

so what if it does? It solves his problem.
besides, it won't 'throw a code" it may illuminate a light on the dash as if it were activated. Same type of teeny light as the seatbelt guy, or abs light, or any other light.

It's a quick easy solution so the guy can burn up the rubber and do as he pleases. It won't create any driveability problem. Heck, i drove my silverado around with the 60amp abs fuse pulled because it activated way to much for me. i pulled the bulb cuz i was sick of looking at it. never had any problems and drove it like that for 4 years

They designed it to not engine brake on dry pavement? That doesn't sound right.
I have never driven one to verify, but it doesn't seem right at all.
