4wd indicator light
as i've said in some of my previous posts- i'm not only new to the site, but also to my ram.
shes 4wd- but i don't seem to have an indicator light that tells me when it kicks in? i've checked my manual, and i don't see one where it labels the lights either.
obviously you can feel when you're in 4wd, but i'm curious because everyone else i know even with older models has a light on the dash

Which 4wd lever do you have? The turn button, or the floor shifter? The floor shifters might not have the light. My truck has the light with the turn dial.
If you have the light aimed just right at the dash, can you see what all light options you should have? If so, see if you have one that says 4wd.

its on the floor- but 3 other trucks i've seen have an indicator light with it on the floor as well?
i've got a 4wd service light i believe....
or maybe i'm an idiot and the 4wd is on its own and the service light is separate. either way, neither have come on when i'm in 4wd.
ugh like i said i've only just gotten this truck, drove it about 2 weeks, and now its in the shop, so we havent had time to really get to know eachother yet

if i in fact do have one that is not working- is it as simple as replacing a fuse?

4WD light is activated by a vacuum switch located by the mechanical lever on the transfer case, also controls the axle disconnect. I hate to tell you this, but I think you've got transfer case issues as well.
And I've just confirmed that the '05s DO have an indicator light...
