yeah that's why I chose not to mount mine, I didn't want to drill It's still a pain with it in the center console because you gotta open the thing up to talk and change channels and whatnot. You probably just gotta play around with some ideas, one of them will work.

^^^ I like that center console over my flip down. I wonder how much that 2 piece set costs from the dealer? I'm sure it would fit right in there.

yea that is nice, too bd i have the shifter on the floor(4x4) or i would be checkin into that as well.

it is really a 3 piece assembly. i would think it couldnt be to much dogg. i would find a buddie who had one and take it out and see 4 bolts 2 screws hold her in place .

the back pannel i had to cut out for the cb to slide back into the dash. i still wanted use of the cup holders so i opted to do that

you can clear the shifter no prob ..my buddie has a big ol galxy cb and cleared the shifter by 2 inches
