try rubbing alcohol for both.

I think it was said on here before, the paint thinner isn't bad on the clear coat because of how it is made now or something. Do a search, and you might find it, or someone else might chime in on this topic.

I find brake cleaner works on scuffs and paint transfer when I'm detailing. Spray a lil on a rag and wipe off the scuff then rinse wth water. Doesn't harm the paint but works wonders

Talking Hmm

Most of the replies work fro most of this WD-40 great for such things if worried about surface or astethic damage try on inconspicous area first lol like carpet cleaner directions!!

I tried the WD-40 and rubbing alcohol combo on the wax and the black mark. The wax is history but the black mark didn't budge.

paint thinner... just take it easy, dab it on, let the solvent do the work, then wipe it off. dont scrub the **** out of it. we used to use it all the time at the detail shop i used to work at. worst case scenario you just run a buffer over it..

I know this may sound weird, but smooth Peanut butter works to remove wax from plastic trim. DONT USE CRUNCHY!!
