Default Wax on plastic and other things

I wax my truck regularly and I have gotten some of the wax on plastic parts like my door handles and the plastic around the mirrors. How can I get this off? It looks like the plastic is faded but as far as I know it's just wax stuck to the plastic. Also about a year ago the wind caught my door and it opened and slammed into the mirror of the Ford next me. It was funny but it left me with a dent in the door and a black scuff or something that will not come off. The dent isn't large and isn't very noticeable so I could care less but the scuff annoys the crap out of me any suggestions? I'll post pics up later today.

When I get wax on plastic parts like that, i usually take an all purpose cleaner to it, then some Mother's interior cleaner. It'll take a little bit of elbow grease. But it usually comes off after a little bit of scrubbing.
For the scuff, that's just some of the plastic from the mirror left on your truck. Waxing over it won't take the scuff off? Most things like that, I usually have to see them to be able to tell how to take them off.

It looks almost like a shoe scuff mark on a waxed floor except it won't come off as easily.

To remove the wax spray some wd-40 on a rag and wipe it off, then put some rubbing alcohol on another rag and wipe off the residue from the wd-40.

Works well for debadging, glue, road tar, bugs, etc. too!

mr. clean magic eraser will usually take wax off plastic. it will scratch your paint so be careful. as for the scuff on the paint, take a buffer to it. or maybe some paint thinner

ScratchX by Meguiars for the scuff - use a terry cloth for extra removal strength

Peanut butter or vegatable oil for the wax - wipe it on, let sit a couple minutes, wipe off, use a tooth brush for stubborn areas
