Hey guys. Out here in North Topsail, NC it rained A LOT yesterday and there was some pretty good flooding on the roads. I drove my truck through it of course. Today when I started my truck up the exhaust sounded alot different. A lot more raspy. When I drive it and the MDS kicks in it sounds like a really raspy go-kart.

Do you think it might just be moisture that's still inside or do you think I might have damaged the muffler driving through all that water?

I have a magnaflow 14" muffler with the pipes coming out before the right tire.

 

might have a small hole or somethin, or possible warped a manifold??

Yea. Another story that happened today.. It was a really long day and I was very tired and while I was pulling my truck into the driveway I didn't think to completely stop the truck before I put it in park. I heard some grinding.. That freaked me out, however, everything seems fine. I'll have to be sure to stop the truck before I put it in park for next time. And the time after that, and the time after that, and every time after that.

 

hey u are learning! that is what counts just try not to destroy u'r truck in the process.

 

is your exhaust stock? I don't believe the stock exhaust is fully welded, so it is possible for water to seep in where the pipes meet. might even have some small rust rot in the pipes or muffler where water is getting in.

I'm not sure about all years but I know my stock muffler has a really small hole at the bottom rear of the muffler. I'm guessing for condensation to get out. It's not rusted out because it is perfectly round and looks like it was done from the factory.
