Default exhaust decision

I just got a 05 ram 4.7 liter. I got to have a good rumble. I want a single in, dual out muffler with exhaust pipes out the side. What will be the best sounding muffler, Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc.?

Default Go with flowmaster.

Im too looking for a muffler and same set up like you. I have the same ram but I have the 5.7l hemi. For you I would go with flowmaster 40 series. It will give you a good rumble but not so loud that will get anoying when on highway. I have always had flows and they sound good and give you more power. I have head magnifow on youtube videos and they are not really loud and dont sound good. I priced my dual exaugh and they said like 400 for everything. Just to give you a price. Thanks

Videos don't do magnaflows justice in the slightest. I have a magnaflow on my hemi and love it. Not to mention the fact its all stainless so you'll be replacing your flowmaster after a few seasons

Too bad neither of you are close by because I have a cat-back dual system with a SI 3" and DO 2.5" Flowmaster Delta 40 going straight back to two 4*22" tips and am going to pull it off soon so I can put up my headers and new exhaust.......wanna make a trip? LOL

Yeah, IMO videos of any muffler for sound purposes don't do justice, but I do have the 40 series and it does let people know you are there with a very deep tone

If you want something a little louder with a little more presence at all RPM's then the usual magnaflows or flowmasters get the Gibson Dual Xtreme split.. I I have it on my 2002 4.7L and Love it.. Loud and little extra kick at the mid to higher RPM's..

http://www.jegs.com/i/Gibson/462/6500/10002/-1

It Says for the Hemi's but they all fit the same, works on 4.7L and 5.7L reg cab and quad cab..
I have headers and intake as well so an audio clip wouldnt sound the same as a stock truck...

4.7's sound beefier than the 5.7 for some reason, but click my sig and it will give you somewhat of an idea. My Magnaflow muffler is 18" in length and i have a 5.7L

the 40 series is very loud on the 4.7,I have a 70 series and love it and still has a great rumble and not to mention it will not break the bank.
I have the 3 inch in and 3 out.
Just my .02 cents.

Did he delete your resonator? Adding a resonator will decrease drone.
