I have had great experiences with a company called intensehid.com. I have bought 4 kits from them now, going on to my fifth here pretty quick, fogs, low beams, high beams, and for my girlfriends volvo. And the only one I have had any problems with are on the volvo, and its because it for some reason wont recognize the cancellors, there is no flicker or anything and the lights look great, but I cannot figure out how to get hers to stop saying her lights are out. On my truck on the other hand, I have no issue with that, it never says anything about lights being out. I have 6000k all around on my truck, and 5000k on her car and I would have to say they both look great, the 6000k definitely has a much higher level of blue for appearances, but even her 5000k looks incredible up next to any other car with stock headlights.

My headlights are not tinted over, they have a smoked housing and were bought like that from headlightsdepot. The fog lights on the other hand, are in fact tinted over with black clear coat. I'm not saying I don't like them, the looks alone is really what I was after, but as far as visibility, I haven't seen a HUGE improvement.

You did also get 8000K hids. I never put mine in, but I got this set of 6000K to replace a set of 8000K that I was going to put in. So that might be some of your problem, not near as bright as what most of us have.

My high beams are a disgrace also. aftermarket hid's are supposedly illegal where I live so when I see cops I put on my high beams. The halogen hi beams are more dim than my stock low beams by far! So much for flashing people lol

Halogen high with HID lows arent supposed to be super bright. They are there to help some ppl pass inspections.

And if you want to get more legal then PM me if you are interested about retrofitting projectors into your headlights.

I got my kit from 3bspec and its a great kit. Comes with factory adaptors and all. Great kit and works right and the customer service is awesome. Very knowledgeable. Just my 2 cents.

Twiggy is the man when it comes to HIDs...One of my plugs on my fogs corroded and was flickering a little, so he sent me a new pair. The difference is unbelievable, I had my halogens in one day waiting on the ballasts and....well I guess I got spoiled with the HIDs...

The HID low/halogen high is a joke...the HID lows are as bright as halogen highs in my 07. As per LA law, they pass the "white light test" so I don't have to worry about passing the inspection. My workout buddy is a state trooper and said they were fine as long as I didn't have them pointed in the sky
