All of the automatic trannies in the 4.7 and the 5.7 were either 45-rfe (4 speed auto) or 545-rfe (5 speed auto). Either will match to either engine (or so I've been told). As for the engine, I just found a hemi at a local auto recycling yard with 59k miles for $1500.99 Says it runs great. for that price, its worth the upgrade!! Don't know if it comes withthe wiring harness and all of that, but its a start.

YEAH! thanks man, i've been looking online and can't find a thing, i haven't talked to my mechanic yet, i'm gonna call him in a little bit and run this by him, i'd love to have a HEMI just os i could supercharge it! not to mention my insurance would still be on the 4.7 so that would work well too. i've found several HEMI engines online from 1200-4000 and most come with harness. i'll get back later with decision.

I have over 120,000 Wide Open Throttle miles on my 4.7L and it runs like a top at 7,000 RPMS!

Overheat any engine and it will have issues... Its unfortunate but thats life of an engine. Although I beat the heck out of my engine... I baby and pamper it all at the same time, and for that reason it has never left me stranded.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM
