disconnect chime for lamp out on dash
I've run into the same problem with the lamp out coming on/off for week or so before the bulb actually goes out. My problem is that I've changed out the same bulb twice in the last year. Now it's gone out again. It's the Left rear brake light. What's odd is that this is a 2 element bulb and one element never burns out, just the one element for the brake. When i've changed it out in the past the socket looks good and it's a snug connection. My question now that it's happened again, is this a wiring issue or possilbly something within the piece that the 3 rear bulbs plug into. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Find your chime box under the dash and see if it will come apart. If so then take the speaker out of the box and everything will still work like normally but it wont make anymore noise. Just make sure your shut your lights off and keep checking your gauges, cause if anything happens then you wont hear it trying to let you know.
I had the same issue with the left rear brake light. but I was getting moisture inside the taillight assembly. Fixed the leak and used some anti-corrosive goop and it seams to be doing better.
back when i first got my truck i had a bulb go out. and it was the left brake light as well lol.... and i def got the chime thing going on. but it only took me a minute to pull over at the parts store.... man that ish is annoying!
