I just bought a TomTom xl 330S and couldn't find any real good place to put it so I mounted it on the top of my steering column using the adhesive disc. It just partially blocks the tac and odometer but I'm ok with that. Didn't see many other options. What have you guys done or can you rec'd any aftermarket mounts that are worthwhile?
I'll have to try that part of the windshield again. For some reason I couldn't get the suction mount to adhere right there. I also have tint on the inside of windshield so that could have something to do with it too.
I did the phne crap before I got my Crackberry and I swear I always got bumped off because of a call when I had turns coming up.... I mount mine in the corner also... Only legal place in MD if you want it in the window is lower left corner
on my HTC touchpro the GPS program runs seperately in the background so if you get a call you can answer the phone and all and then when you hang up it just goes back to the GPS screen... but I have honestly only played with it a little. I mainly use the GPS thats built into the headunit.

I have the same issue with my mounting on the lower left, if you clean the inside of your windshield with glass cleaner it can make it harder, what I do since I have a suction cup is I will flatten it out, and press it to the windshield and release the edges that I had pushed out to flatten it, it creates a much stronger suction to the windshield than just half assing it.
