Red face Tug-o-war...i got to beat him.

me... 2007 ram 1500 Mega cab 4x4 5.7.

Him 2003 Ford F-250 super duty turbo. 6.0 deisle 4x4.

he has a 3 inch lift with 20 inch rims. I know ill get my *** kicked in power but his tires are shot.and you can have all the power you want but if you cant hook up you got nothing.basically he said when he gets new tires he will pull me backwards. luckly those tires are about 350 a peice. so i got time. what do i need to do to get better tracion so i win.

If i put like 400lbs of sand in the back and install a ARB electronic locker do i have a chance at beating him....i know i got my self in deep with my **** talking but he was just slamming on the dodge. whats the cheapest way for me to get better traction and win.....it will be done in grass.

my current tires are LT's.basically new.

ARB lockers are air actuated, not electronic.

Tug of wars don't really prove anything...

you: lose

him: win, his low end torque could be twice what yours is and is at the max almost as soon as he slams his foot on his gas pedal and then the Hp comes on.

ARB actually DOES have an electronic locker, toyota runs them in all their TRD models. Just a side note.

Grass is a good place to do it, because it will allow your tries to spin freely when your being dragged. lol

But, for more traction, make sure you have a full tank of gas. Sand bags would help. Let some sir out of the tires, and I would do it in reverse. Reverse is a lower gear, you will have most of your weight in the front of your truck because of your motor.

With him having bigger tires, that will help you. Bigger tires means less weight per square inch of the tire= less traction. However with him being taller, it will tend you lift your closest tires "off the ground". Basically lifting the frame of the truck up when the strap gets tight.

Have fun doing it, make sure to take all percausions to ensure this is a safe game. Remember... you have traction when your tires are not spinning, and none when they are spinning.

They must only make them for factory Yotas because their site only lists air lockers.

Yeah he will kinda pull you up and away but a diesel is meant to pull just what you are going to do the tires would reaally only play on pavement as thats were traction counts but if you start to spin let of and try to get some traction again is your best bet and a full tank would help as well also make sure you are in 4x4 if you didnt know and good luck
make sure the strap is tied on good so if it breaks you dont get a hole threw your tailgate

Not a good idea, he's got alot more truck. Deisel 3/4 vs gas 1/2. You might be better off challenging him to a race ...a tug o war could be an expensive lesson learned

I think your best bet will be getting a buddy who has a hemi too and do it 2 on 1. Good luck
