Default Shock Opinions

well, as you all know opinions are like noses, everyone has one. So I would like to hear some of yours. I am going to be buying a leveling kit soon and am looking for extended shocks. I am looking for a shock that performs well off-road but makes the ride of my truck smoother than it currently is.

I have already searched and I did not get many answers. I have read good things about skyjacker hydro and nitro but I wanted to know what you guys thought.

Bilsteins are not available for my truck if it is leveled 2" or so lift unfortunately and niether is Rancho.

I appologize for being like the millionth one today.

What are my options guys?

Both good shocks, the nitro is nitrogen filled which is denser than hydrogen, so it'll be stiffer and better off-road, the hydro will be softer and smoother on pavement.
Also look at the Pro Comp 3000s (hydrogen) and Pro Comp 9000s (nitrogen) they should be available for a leveled Ram and are made by the same company who owns Monroe and Rancho...

thank you for the reply. I can always count on you.

I found a good deal on topguncustomz with four rough country hydro shocks for 119.95 I may get em.
I occasionally tow a heavy trailer so I was wondering if I should get the nitros but I already have airbags so I'm not sure what to do. What do you think?

i have had nothing but problems from rough country shocks. 3 different trucks ive bought them for and i will never buy them again. terrible ride.
my father had them on his ranger, they were only maybe a year old and they just started falling apart.
i would definatly suggest a nitrogen charged shock. skyjackers are good imo..
i had some edelbrock shocks on my durango and i liked them ok..
