No. Use the specified 4.7k resistor as directed

sure, just use 2- 2.4k resistors in series.....rofl That equates to 1-4.8k resistor as OP has used.

It's all about resistance, so...... One resistor will do the trick. If your thinking even more added power. NOPE.

WindowShaker, you could prob use 100k resistors. The Ram will onyl read so low for temps. I think outside of 10kOhms, it doesn't read anymore so you could certainly try the 100k but it might not work as well as the 4.7K

The greater resistance, the colder the Intake temps are read.

Technically you could throw a potentiometer in there and have an adjustable power wire. But I guarantee you would end up setting it at the same 15-20 degree colder iat setting that weeds tut will get you.

I'm sorry, I feel like I want my computer to prevent spark knock. Wonderful performance tip...and yes it will use less fuel because the emissions will detect the richer air/fuel mixture than what it thinks it should have for that modified intake air temp and lean out your air/fuel mixture too. It causes a slightly lean running condition which yes gives you more low end kick, but at high RPM's can be damaging in the long term.

Aw, screw it, I'mma try it anyways

I'll keep mine the way it is... I figure that there are engineers out there that get paid way more than I do, and have a massive R&D budget so how they designed it is probably how it should be...

exactly, it seems like this is not efficient, I wonder if your MPGs decreases noticeably.

This is nothing more than an old school trick that has been done for years.

Download a copy of the Service Manual and understand how this works and why it works only at WOT and not or normal driving

The man goal of the POWER WIRE is to acheive the 3-4 degree timing advance. The seconed effect is the approximately 2.5% additional fual at WOT. But you are correct that the fuel adaptives can and will effect every application differently... So resetting them can be benificial.

Resetting the PCM will allow everything to start from a clean slate. Because most PCMs tend to be over agresive with timing retard, the power wire will return 3-4 degrees of timing that has been removed. This is where MOST the gains are made and how the Power Wire tends to improve MPG.

Resetting the PCM can and will bennifit most applications since fuel adaptives very per vehicle based on local driving conditions and styles. By resetting the PCM and then installing the POWER WIRE, your fuel adaptives will not be all over the place and the gains will be more noticeable.
