Hi Guys! I'm a brand new member and I am a couple hours away from buying an 02 Ram. THe forward dash has a couple cracks on it and I've heard this is common.
1. Is this true?
2. Is it easy to find a replacement?
3. $$$$$$$ ??

I apologize in advance as I'm not new to the forums as a Harley owner and a Jeep Wrangler owner. So I'm sorry for not using the search function. I just don't have much time.

Thanks

Cracked dashes are a common problem unfortunately. Can't help you as far as price goes, but you might be able to find a donor dash from a wrecked Ram at a salvage yard.

when i was looking for one for mine i called a few junkyards and they said they were out as to many dodges have this problem. he said also that the problem is when you find one that isnt cracked they will crack when you take them out. and fyi the cracks only get worse. mine started with one and now i have probably 10. i just covered it witha dash mat from coverking.com it was only like 30-something dollars. and it looks a lot better than the cracks did. good luck tho oh and the dealer quoted me somewhere around 800 just for the dash. not including install

I thought the dash cracks were only a major problem on the 2nd gens. I don't have any cracks on mine, never have. Maybe it's because I armor all the hell outta it 3-4 times a week.
