Go with a fastman.

There is a lot more involved with the physics of airflow inside a throttle body than just max diameter at the blade. Porting the fron and back of the TB allows more air to move through due to the bernoulli effect.

Also, two other things that help are putting a knife edge on the blade to reduce drag, and modifying the shaft to half shaft.

If you're doing a cam, you need a lot more air in and out for the cam to see it's full potential. A TB is a great way to help realize some of that potential.

I'm telling you all of this from my personal experience, not just what I read on a webpage somewhere or something I did with a 20 year old ford.

No they claim:
We have proven track results! *********.com member Sawcut64 has improved 1/8th mile times of "Half of a tenth" gain.
half a tenth in the 1/8th....

Frog where did you order yours from or did you just call them? Also what size is yours? I know you had a post about it a while back I just cant recall how big you went with.

It's OK Dog, you can post up that you disagree. Our friendship is strong enough to take it.

I ordered it from fastman. I don't recall the size off the top of my head. I'll check later, but the info is not readily available to me.

I'll take a look back and see if I can find your post. And I'll email fastman as well. But I guess it goes back to my original question, for the gains/price, is it worth it?

Alright found your old post:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...body-pics.html

You went with an 85mm

Do you happen to remember the price? The price for the ones on their site is like $180 + $80 core charge.

moe's and fastman do NOT increase the diameter at the plate. it is tapered down at the plate, and opens back up towards the other end.

btw, IMO 'increasing flow due to the Bernoulli affect' is crap. the air isn't going to pull itself because it's a venturi. the benefit it will give you is that you get more flow right when the plate starts to open.
