The 2003 chev 2500s are hardly built STRONGER than a Mega can 1500.
The mega cab is a heavy half meaning it will basically be the same as a 2500 (notice the beefier axles for example)

He has you on torque. You'll likely lose but a lot of it comes down to tires and weight.

So you're saying the Mega Cab has a different tranny than say a Quad Cab with the same motor, or bigger brakes, or a better fluid cooling system? My apologies, I did not know that. My point was that a diesel truck is built specifically heavier to handle the torque.

I absolutely agree though, tires, weight, and over all ability to transfer power to pavement are the keys.

If ya do it I agree you NEED to video it. I love watching all those video's on youtube. Just don't break your truck in the process. That crap is really hard on your vehicle.

I know diesel have prob double torq my mega cab does. looking under a mega cab 1500 is not close to the suspension of a quad cab 1500. its beefy looks to be all 2500 suspension, even the 8 lug wheels and huge brakes that i have 295/70 mud dawg tires on it. i told him he would win just in pure torq he has, but boy would i like to pull him and change his big head about chevrolets. Also mine has axle up front instead torsion bar independant.. chevy 2500 dont have that

im a chevy guy but love my truck. but also he needs to realize that kis big head is going to get him in trouble... i mean you are a gas motor and a 1500 technically... where is truck is built to have an edge over yours... not an apples to apples comparison in my opinion

If you kook your truck, you're an idiot. Not because you will loose, but because you are hooking a fairly new truck under warranty. What are the tires for you and him, and what surface?

And why do people keep calling it tugging....It's hooking....Ohios state sport after football lol. People here have 2nd trucks built for nothing but hooking.
