Need to find a thread
Did you just put SRT and $50 in the same sentence??? Is that even possible?....lmao
if you want the key fob set up you are looking at around 400.00. that to do away with keys altogether. there is a company that sell the set up that is in the nissan and infinity's. there are fob scanners where some one could scan you module and get in like that but i dont think some one would suspect this setup on a ram.
i put mine in yesterday.....cost me 40 bucks for the button, the Ingited brand one, and since my cigar lighter power line was screwed up, it cost me another 20 bucks for misc. wiring to run from another power source. wasn't hard to do at all....and yes you have to turn the key for the button to work. I wired it up so you can also start it normally but turning the key all the way.
Does anyone know does the SRT-10 still need the key? The pictures I've seen it still does, and ALLData showed an ignition switch.
yes the push button start does need a key. the srt-10 button basically taps into a 12v power and to the solid yellow wire. most people with the 04,05 use the cig for the 12v. here is a write up from dodge talk with pics

oklahemi is right, you just run wires from your yellow ignition wire and from a 12v power source. and the Ignited button i used secured itself to the bezel, if you get it, you will see what i am talking about. and yes, as i said, you need the key to turn on the vehicles electronics, and unlock the steering column. It's really quite pointless, but I wanted it for looks haha. It's different from anything anyone had where I live.
And no, I did not take any pictures. It was quite simple so I figure I didn't need to show in detail what I did...Sorry!

i dont know how kindly they would take to you cutting the starter wire. but it was a factory standard on the srt-10 trucks. the might install one for you for a hefty fee. you could always use the wire taps so you wont actually cut anything and you could take it out if you needed to
Yeah, still have warranty. Thats the same thing I was thinking. My dad is on the line at a Chrysler dealer. So, if it really would cause a problem doing it myself, i can just have him do in the shop when he has spare time. We'll see I guess.
