Default Need to find a thread

Hey guys, need to find a thread that was supposedly posted up.
Just checked the DIY section for the push button start install thread, but couldn't find it. Does anyone who is a mod or higher up know if that thread was ever posted up? I'd really like to find see the DIY for it.

And if anyone who has anything on installing a push button starter that they could post up, I would appreciate it a lot.

Anyone know how this works for the newer models? What prevents thefts from occuring with this installed, do you still have to stick the key in the ignition and turn it before yo push a button? That is kinda pointless IMO.
My father has a Mazda SUV that has a push button start. he can keep his keys in his pocket and it will start. If he is within a foot or 2 of the entire vehicle, the doors won't lock! i think it's awesome. is the push button start similar for our Rams?

To get the system you are speaking of installed is a PITA and is very involved. Some of the current 2009 Challengers have this system and it is awesome.

You can wire a regular push button start to work w/out inserting your key, but then anyone can start your truck. Most guys install them so you turn the key and then push the button.
I understand that is pointless to some, but to alot of us it's a pretty cheap and cool mod to have as an interior upgrade.

I'm looking to buy a button/switch but I still haven't decided whether to go with a Keep It Clean or Ignited switch. I'm searching for a deal, so if anyone has any leads then hit me up! I'm open to ideas.

Thanks!

i put mine in yesterday.....cost me 40 bucks for the button, the Ingited brand one, and since my cigar lighter power line was screwed up, it cost me another 20 bucks for misc. wiring to run from another power source. wasn't hard to do at all....and yes you have to turn the key for the button to work. I wired it up so you can also start it normally but turning the key all the way.
