Next Truck, a Ford? Uh oh.
But would the ram take it day in and out something tells me they do not have the
fox shocks or application specific suspension. Im not knocking the new rams they
are unreal trucks but the raptor is designed to go fast on and offroad so its
built that way Im sure if you hammered on any of the new rams (stock of course)
they would break. Now Dodge this is where you need to listen you have the truck
(4th gen) it has the looks the go and the interior now just get your SRT boys to
throw on some big fenders big shocks ans some new suspension then hell I can
have my cake and eat it too.

I may be a second gen guy, but at least I can put a coherent sentence together...
That Raptor may look cool, but honestly, is it worth the price they plan on asking for it? Last I heard, Ford was asking ballpark 50K for that truck?? That was awhile back, so it might be different now. I just don't see the point unless you are going for looks and looks only. I mean, hell, who in their right mind is going to pay that much for a truck and then USE it like they are advertising its uses as?
Someone else said it up above, but I'm gonna say it again anyways... Nowadays, brand means jack chit. In reality, that's all you pay for is just a name. I don't care what domestic brand you look at either. They are all rushed produced, cheaply made, piles of junk. I tell ya what, go look at a carpet sample from a truck made in the mid 90's and then do the same on a truck made after 2001. It's going to be a lot lower quality on the newer vehicle. You can do the same on the body, the paint, the plastic... on and on and on. Sure, there are certain brands that are putting more power out, and that's great, but it's not enough to justify what vehicles are costing these days, and what the quality of them are.
I'm sure some fan boy is going to jump in here, but oh well. I've said my piece.

I will sound like an old man hear but : "they just don't build'em like they used to."
Totally agree with you. Sure the new trucks are more "refined" but is the quality
of the build any better?
Sorry about the punctuation in the last posts I just realised it now how terrible
it was. I guess I do not have the gift of multi tasking homework and DF.

ill agree, with a few people, the ford looks mean (only black tho, with no stickers.... but for 38k - 42, might as well go for a diesel. Fender flares a few more lights and some better shocks only go so far.
I just looked at the video and it screamed Ram Challenge at me. I wouldn't put either the raptor or the ram through that abuse every day. Marketing video is one thing, we'll see how it holds up. We're all speculating about the raptor right now, but we KNOW a PowerWagon puts up.
If you really want to throw away that much money go for it. But to be honest with you, you can buy a used truck and put the same style suspension on it and do alot more mods to it and make a better truck then that for most likely less money then the sticker price of the truck. I just got done putting a baja kit on a F150 with the bigger fenders and bed sides with a suspension that had twice the travel as the Rapter and including the price of the truck he only has about 40k in the truck and it would kick the crap out of the Rapter.
Really 65 K thats crazy man. Here at Freedom Ford in Edmonton Alberta
has the raptor listed at MSRP 54K with the 5.4. I Talked with the sales
guy there and he seemed negotiable on the price so I am sure I could
get the GST taken off as well. I should have said earlier this is not the
is all end all truck. It just happens to meet my needs for a truck and
it would be so cool to see a response to this niche market by Gm and
more importantly Dodge.
