Default 2006 Tail Light Circut Board?

Hello all, my next mod I want to do to my 06 is to replace the flat boring tail lights with the snappy looking ones from an 07, 08. So I buy the new tail lights and go to install them and find that the 06 and 07 lights are WAY diffrent from eachother. The 06's have one connector that plugs into a circut board that runs the lights, where the 07's have bulbs and plugs. I went to my local auto yard and pick up the plugs for the 07 lights. So here's my question. When I splice in the plugs and remove this circut board tail light thingy, is it going to cause my pcm to throw a hissy fit?

Thanks!

Jesse

Since the truck is wired for 4 bulbs instead of two like the 07/08, there will be some issues.
I believe that the Turn signals and brake lights are different bulbs in the 06-back trucks, are they not? The 07/08 use one bulb for brake/turn & parking lights.
