not 'dead' quiet, but when I read someone say 'not too loud' its still loud.

My truck gets parked right next to the neighbors house and i feel like an *** pulling in at 3am sometimes. so it would be nice if I could give it just a bit of gas and not literaly wake up the neighbors. I'm talkin about like quiet at 1000 rpm...sounds like i might be sol.

Well, my Magnaflow is, well I forget how long. It came in the 16700 kit, but doesn't show the spec on the website. It is not loud enough to bother my older neighbors next door at an idle, so, coming in at 3am would bother them unless you rev up the engine before turning it off. It is going to be about the quietest way to go.
You could always add one of your factory resonators to your Magnaflow. That would quiet it down some too.

Hell my XR1 is like that, just a low rumble. Borla makes some really nice refined sounding mufflers that are quiet until you get on them, but they are pricey. I guess you are going to get what you pay for if you go cheap unless you get a stock muffler w/ a cutout.

Check out Jones full boar exhaust, I have a single 3" in/out coated muffler, was cheap and sounds awesome. Can hear it with windows down but doesnt echo the cab at speed. Sounds best when I hit passing gear or from a dead stop....makes me smile and I get a lot of looks and compliments.

My 18" Mag sound great. Little on the quiet side, but sounds pretty beefy still.

Some may argue this but if you get a long Cherry Bomb Glasspack it would be cheap and if you get a long one,I mean one of the longest ones they make it will be quiet until you really flog it.I speak from experience,I had this setup on my 99 GMC 5.3 and it was really mellow until I got into it hard. Something like this.......

Magnaflow cat-back #16700 I got er on my rig and at idle you hardly know it's there. when you lay into it I would say it's comparable to a 5.0 mustang...
